The InstaBooth is a telephone-style portable booth designed to contain a multimedia installation and to facilitate both social and technological engagement and interaction. It is a flat pack structure made using a CNC router all created with AutoCAD. The individual parts slot together to form the structure of the booth which has been created so that it can be erected everywhere. Participation is a key element of the InstaBooth with it’s aim being to create an immersive environment driven by the engagement of its users. The booth allows the public to have an active involvement in the artwork and in what they are experiencing. We decided to build a camera obscura within our InstaBooth and named it PeekaBooth.
It was exhibited as part of the Riverfest festival in Arthur's Quay Park in 2015.
